Academic Outreach Live!

Welcome to the first Academic Outreach Live!

We’ve heard you, and this spring we are building our training to fit you and your busy schedule.  We invite you to attend Academic Outreach Live from the comfort of your office.  Academic Outreach Live will help you learn to use and integrate some of the latest teaching and learning technologies.  The entire series will be offered online and accessible to you via this blog site and Centra.  You will find over 30 sessions to chose from, be sure to check out the Schedule tab for a complete list of offerings.

Week 1 sessions will feature 25 minute overviews of some of the platforms supported by Academic Outreach, as well as an introduction to Academic Outreach departments.

Week 2 will offer 15 minute sessions focused on very specific features within the various learning platforms, for example, Creating an Avatar in Second Life, Using Video in Centra, or Changing Themes in WordPress.

Get Started – No Registration Required.  You will be able to join each live Centra session from this page daily – by clicking Click here to join the session.  We recommend that you run the Centra System Check;  prior to joining your first session.  After running the System Check, please log into the Centra Test Site to verify that your computer is set up properly.  This will ensure that you are ready to participate.  For Centra questions or support, please visit the Help tab.  We invite you to drop in for any and all of the presentations.  You will even be able to ask questions live using a microphone/headset or by using the Text Chat in Centra.  In addition, you can visit the Conversation tab to leave comments or questions for the Academic Outreach presenters.
